Pharmacy College Admission Test, popularly known as PCAT Test, is an entrance test conducted for admission into Pharmacy colleges of US. The test is being conducted by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). PCAT is a standardized test, which is divided into seven sections. PCAT evaluates candidate's general academic ability and scientific knowledge in order to select the well deserving candidates for pharmaceutical education in the Pharmacy colleges of US. Nearly two-third Pharmacy colleges and schools of Pharmacy in US accept the scores of PCAT for offering students into pharmacy courses.
 
PCAT is divided into seven sections that are to be attempted by the candidates in time duration of four hours approximately. The seven sections of the test are Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Biology, Chemistry, Reading Comprehension and two Writing sections. Candidates who are seeking admission in Pharmacy colleges of US have to qualify the test as PCAT is the basic tool for measuring the candidate’s aptitude and scores obtained in PCAT is one of the important criteria for admission.
 
PCAT Eligibility
Candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree or have completed his/her graduation with good grades from a recognized or accredited university or college are eligible for appearing in the PCAT examination. Candidates must possess Bachelor's degree with subjects like Biology, Humanities, Mathematics and Physics etc.
