SAT Test Day



SAT is a three-hour multiple-choice type test, which measures the students’ skills in mathematics, writing and reading. Scholastic Aptitude Test is managed by Educational Testing Service (ETS) and it is published by the College Board. Also known as SAT Reasoning Test, it is conducted several times in a year at various test centers located across the world. Various colleges/universities accept candidates’ SAT scores for admission at the undergraduate level. SAT Reasoning Test is considered as one of the important college admission tests in the U.S. Therefore, it becomes very important for every test taker to be familiar with what should be followed and what not, on SAT test day.

Time management is such a key aspect for the test. You should try to reach half an hour early before the SAT test time. Besides, you should check that all the required documents are kept with you, which may include admission ticket and photo ID proof. The Educational Testing Service (ETS) and the College Board have enlisted certain things that you can bring or not on your SAT test day. Things including camera, cell phone, pager, personal digital assistant, notes, books or dictionary, scratch paper etc, are strictly prohibited at the test center. On the other hand, you can carry a watch, calculator, drink or snacks (for the break) etc.

Scholastic Aptitude Test Day (SAT) Tips

  • Try to take adequate rest at the night before the test, because it can keep your mind fresh while attempting SAT Test.
  • Always try to reach at the test center before 30 minutes of your actual time. You can take a drive before the test day and analyze how much it would take time to reach at the test center.
  • Before leaving to the test center, you must check that all the required documents have been kept by you.
  • You should keep a watch with you to measure time at every moment.
